She has been providing individual therapy to adolescents and adults using a mindfulness cognitive behavioural approach. This approach has been very effective in managing issues related to depression, anxiety, OCD, addictions, low self esteem, relationships, grief and loss, as well as illness and personal growth. She also uses a trauma informed lens and at times will use IFS and /or EMDR in working with trauma related issues. Through her years of experience she has become particularly interested in Women's Health and has trained in a variety of mental health areas such as the following: Fertility issues, Perinatal loss, Peri-Menopause and Menopause, Pre-Menstrual Disorder (PMS), and Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD).
Johanna received her Master's degree from McGill University in Counselling Psychology and is a Registered member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP).
