Background Summary

I understand that life transitions and life changes can bring about a lot of scary, vulnerable and unpleasant emotions. Furthermore, I understand that exploring and talking about these changes can be overwhelming and daunting; sometimes its difficult to know where to even start! Let’s start this journey together. As a mental health clinician working in the healthcare setting, I understand the challenges with various mental health presentations. Furthermore, with collaborative care I will work with you to create space for acceptance and coping strategies that work for you. My approach is client-centred, collaborative, anti-oppressive, anti-racists and feminist that lends on you as the expert to your own story and life experience. With curiosity and well-defined values, lets explore inwards and develop and move in a direction of valued-living. Josephine is a registered Social Worker (RSW, MSW) and member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers and The Ontario Association of Social Workers. Josephine has worked for several years in the health care setting in Perinatal Mental Health, General Psychiatry and Oncology. Josephine has also worked for 10+ years in community settings, supporting new mothers, women fleeing domestic violence and adolescence with childhood trauma.
