Background Summary

Todd is a registered social worker with a background in clinical research in mental health and addictions, spanning 2 decades. His main areas of interest are the impact of early childhood on mental health across the lifespan (including trauma, loss, grief), eating disorders, anxiety, depression and other mental health and addictions concerns.

Todd is experienced in different therapy types, including cognitive behaviour therapy, dialectical behavior therapy, attachment therapy, narrative therapy, etc., within a broader anti-oppressive cultural, gender and sexuality affirming framework. Throughout, his focus remains client-centred: working with you to explore your needs, wants and goals for therapy and for your life as you see them.

Todd earned his Master of Social Work from Wilfrid Laurier University.

He currently resides in the Waterloo region with his Australian Shepherd, Oliver, and spends much of his free time antiquing, listening to classic jazz on vinyl and traveling to Nashville (when it is safe to do so, of course).
