Background Summary

Megha is a registered social worker and psychotherapist with a Master of Social Work specializing in Mental Health from the University of Toronto. Megha draws from her extensive experience in the mental health sector from a variety of settings including children and family mental health agencies, crisis work, hospital and the school board. She provides therapy to adolescents (13 and up), young adults in university/college or transitioning into the workforce, parents, and adults. 

Megha specializes and works with clients who experience anxiety, depression, perfectionism, self-esteem issues, relationship concerns, complex trauma, grief and difficulties with regulating emotions. As a child of immigrants she holds space to also discuss identity and intergenerational trauma. In session, she uses a trauma-informed, non-judgmental and empathetic approach. Her treatment modalities include: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Meditation, Somatic Approaches, Internal Family Systems, Parts Work. 

She believes that to feel deeply is what makes us human and that we all can benefit from shining light on areas that need more love and compassion on our healing journey. As a therapist, she believes that it’s important to recognize that there's nothing "wrong" with us, we are all on a journey of becoming conscious of what's deep within, ultimately learning how to navigate through this world.
