A fun fact about Mike
Mike is a huge animal lover. Mike recently adopted two homeless kittens and hopes to adopt two (or more) dogs in the near future.
Background Summary
Mike is a Registered Social Worker through the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service workers, and a Registered Psychotherapist, affiliated with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario. Mike has been working in the mental health sector for over two decades and has a wealth of knowledge working with clients living with depression, anxiety, PTSD (and other forms of trauma), and issues specific to the LGBTQ+ community.
Mike received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at York University and his Masters of Social work at Wilfrid Laurier University, and is a general member of the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals and Ontario Association of Social Workers. Mike supports clients through empowerment, motivation and encouragement to become the best version of themselves possible. Mike helps guide his clients along their personal journey of discovery towards healing at a pace uniquely suited to each individual. His approach is client-centric and he provides an accepting environment that supports all lifestyles, free from judgement, prejudice, or discrimination.
